Among the Mages

 - Sariel goes for a visit to the Prickle Peaks with Zaril, Luca and Acta come as well. Neil stays in Chemendoro with Sarah and Rosalyn (SP?) - They meet her mentor and her parents. - They do some site seeing. - Acta collects a bunch of fallen feathers and "something shiny" - Acta probably returns to Chemendoro and opens a curio / art shop with all the stuff she's "collected" over her travels and then she sends half her time running her shop and the other half traveling and collecting more things. - Sariel returns to Chemendoro and spends a few months building more art pieces to attract various types of elemental - Then she returns to the Holomion Forest to protect it and her peoples - Eventually Zaril returns to Chemendoro after she spends some more time studying magic, and then she uses a Wish spell to create a magical spring where the Titan used to be underground that they can then use to create magical.  - First in person session since Covid hit 14 months ago! (Last session of the campaign?) - Sariel lets go of her fire elemental shape. - Luca takes out her magicky hammer, which glows - Suddenly the group finds themselves standing in Alejandro's office and Sarah is there as well. - Alejandro says that he has called them here to ask them to change their plans, but the group immediately knows that they were drowning a minute ago, and Zaril immediately realizes that his mannerisms are off from the Alejandro she's spoken to before. - Acta detects illusion magic when she casts Detect Magic and whispers to Zaril to cast Dispel Magic - Alejandro asks them to disable the creature and bring it back to Chemendoro to be harvested for materials again. - Zaril casts Dispel Magic and everything sort of shimmers and Alejandro asks what that was. - Everyone insists they he isn't Alejandro and we KNOW it's not Sarah Watson when she begs them to do what Alejandro wants and not to cause ...

 - Rosalinde Stuart Watson is about a week old. She a fairly normal looking human who's only a week old, squished looking. - Neil and Sarah go on a walk to a jeweler's store and talk about the future, assuming Neil lives while Sariel babysits. (She sits on the floor to let Penny and Jinorah have a carefully supervised sniff.)  - The result of the conversation is that Sarah wants to try a long engagement when he gets back from his world saving to make sure they get along, so Neil buys her a locket with her and his initials engraved on it and Rosalinde's in the middle. - She yanks out a bit of his hair to put in the locket in case she needs to resurrect him. - Jinorah gets a baby finger right up the nostril. She looks like she was contemplating a zap, but decides better of it. - Neil and Sarah come back and that's when Sarah finds out that Penny and Jinorah will be staying with her. Neil explains to Penny first and asks her to protect Sarah and Rosalinde. Penny sadly lays...

 - Sariel has first watch over Zaril and not long after she falls asleep, her body starts to be covered in ice, and she is unresponsive and won't wake up when Sariel shakes her and calls her name, so she gets some of the Mansion's servants to draw a hot bath and gets them to put Zaril in it. - Zaril wakes up as she's being carried into the bath and is dropped in. - She says, after Sariel calms her down, that Agrexost didn't realize he is turning the whole world to ice and that she actually managed to talk to it. - She asked it if it would be willing to go to the Plane of Ice where heat couldn't bother it, and it asked if she was trustworthy, then she woke up. - The group finishes sleeping and then has breakfast and then leaves the mansion to talk to Ellilune. - They tell her about Zaril's conversation with Agrexost, and then the Sendings begin. - She starts by Sending to Ezra, "Do you happen to know how to gain the trust of a titan?  - We have all survived Snowpocalypse 2021 - The group turns back into mist and carefully shepherd Jinorah northeast up the coast in the direction of Ellilune's tower. - After a few hours, the wind starts to pick up and it's getting colder and it's starting to get hard to travel. Zaril solidifies to talk to everyone and tell them they should lose altitude, . - They have to corral the baby dragon back to the ground where the wind isn't as bad. - Luca solidifies as well. - Sariel too. - They look around and find a tree that Sariel can use to Transport via Plants directly to Ellilune's tower. - On the other side of the tree teleport, they find themselves on the coast at the edge village containing Ellilune's tower. - It is freaking cold here, snowing, and the wind is really whipping the snow around. - The snow is like mid-thigh deep all around. - Zaril is flying in short bursts. - Sariel casts Protect from Energy (cold) on herself and now she's less likely to g...

- Zaril squawks and wakes everyone in the Mansion up - Everyone dashes to her room, and upon Neil's inquiry of what's wrong, she's cold. - Zaril says she saw a person lost in the titan's brain who said something about the titan noticing him, and then she saw an eye look at her, and then she got cold and woke up. - Penny and Sariel sandwich Zaril between them until she warms up enough. - The next morning, Zaril requests a warm and hearty stew for breakfast - Jinorah is still asleep. - Neil is really worried now, and starts asking the servants if they think he should give the dragon caffine, and somehow through a series of yes or no questions it comes out that they have been drugging the dragon's food since the fight yesterday. - Zaril wanders up and zaps Jinorah with her ring of shooting stars and Jinorah blinks at her very bleary - Sariel casts Lesser Restoration on Jinorah and that clears the drugs from her system - Jinorah wakes up, stretches, and then goes to eat...

 - Everyone enters the Mansion and Penny is relaxing in a corner and chuffs in a friendly manner when they come in.  - Jinorah is passed out, fast asleep having gorged herself on a meat feast. - The time is around noon. - They all file back out to talk to Ellilune. - She claims to have lost her way a bit in the process of trying to rescue the titan Agrexost from the exploitation of the city of Chemendoro and lost sight of the wellbeing of "lesser" life forms. - There is some discussion about what to do about the titan to either put it back into stasis or to send it to the Plane of Ice - Zaril has a light bulb moment and Sends to Agrexost, "Sorry about your predicament. We aren’t good for each other. We would like to send you to a place of ice. Is that okay?" - There's quiet for a beat or two, and then there's a loud cacophonous roar and she can just barely make out, "All will be ice." and she takes 29 psychic dmg. - Zaril collapses screaming. - Sar...

 - April started with a shot of te quila.  - First session of the new administration! NO MORE TRUMP! - Zaril casts the Mansion for Neil to stash Penny and Jinorah while the party participates on the bug raid - Ellilune asks if they are ready, and Zaril casts Bardic Inspiration on Acta. - Neil casts Darkvision on himself - Ellilune reaches over and touches a large tree, and the tree starts to shake, and the ground starts to rumble. A cool mist comes off the tree and floats in the air. She instructs the team to  - Everyone touches the tree and is transported to the hive  - Sariel quickly casts Sunburst about 65' away from herself incinerating seven bugs instantly. - THE DISTRACTION BATTLE - Neil casts Lightning Arrow and Readies his bow so that as soon "Silvana" appears he will fire the at her "feet" to create a burst of Lightning. - Sariel casts Wall of Thorns along the wall the group's left to prevent bugs from easily getting to them from that side. - A bug ...

 - The next morning Neil tells everyone about his conversation with Ellilune:     - She says she's done making zombie / plant people as it was only a means to an end - We'll see     - She is definitely on the side of nature, but she has never yet been to the Holimion Forest     - Ellilune is going to come help them with the bug problem - Zaril uses her new ring to play fetch with balls of lightning with Jinorah. Jinorah gets really excited and has a great time. Zaril also has a good time. - After breakfast and the play time, they all head to Fireflower Meadow - Zaril Sends to Silvana, "We have some questions about the bug things. Can you meet us in Fireflower Meadow again in an hour and half? This is Zaril. The bird." - She hears back, "I will meet with you." - The hoof it to the meeting place and get there in good time.  - Zaril sees a pretty rock that she bends down to pick up, and when she stands back up Silvana is standing there. - As they are...

- Neil picks up one of the wizard bug staffs and sees that it looks like the same material as their shells. - Sariel is chasing the wizard bug underground as an earth elemental. - It goes away, then dives down. She follows it deep, deep underground to an open cavern. - It's too dark for her to see, but she feel vibration all over the walls around her through her tremor sense. - There are A LOT of creatures in this space. She does not sense Silvana in this room. - Sariel feels a bug poke her before she can get back to the wall. Suddenly she is swarmed and pinned down by dozens of bugs. - She transforms into a Fire Elemental instead. All the creatures on her burst into flames. The first layer of bugs barbeques away, but there are more and more and more of them to be replaced. - Sariel is starting to wear down despite her fire elemental's form wasting bugs. She starts to feel a pressure building in her "chest". It gets more and more uncomfortable. It starts to be painful...

 - They arrive in the village of Siannodel, and Sariel finds that there is a large wooden wall around the village. - Sariel takes everyone to her parents' house and there are introductions - Zaril casts the Mansion in Sariel's old room and they treat her parents to a lavish dinner - Half the village turns up before they can head out to see if Sariel has really returned home, and she is then is able to introduce her brothers to her friends. - Sariel then uses the great Ydriselm in the center of the tree to Transport Via Plants to take the group to the place she met Silvana and gained her powers. There are a lot of large webs like those of spiders in the trees at the edge of the clearing. - She Communes with Nature and can tell that Silvana is nearby. - Sariel then casts Speak with Plants on the Ydriselm then stepped out of into this grove who says that Silvana is nearby but weak. It suggests Sariel can get her attention by calling on the bond between them. - While she is doing t...

 - The group says goodbye to Gerard and thank him for his hospitality. - They BAMF to the Holimian forest.  - They arrive outdoors in a forest clearing and it is dark. It is overcast and very dim. - They start to hear chittering noises coming from the forest, which Sariel does not recognize. - Zaril flies to the nearest tree to try to hide, and she hears a chittering very near her. - Neil casts Lightning Arrow in preparation for a fight. - There's a creature hovering just on the other side of the trunk that's nearly as big as she is that looks like a cross between a dragonfly and a praying mantis. - Sariel casts Tongues and then walks towards the tree where Zaril went. She calls out in a friendly manner asking if they can hear her. - Other creatures start coming towards them out of the forest look like a cross between a beetle and a scorpion. There are at least six of them.  - Sariel says they are looking for Silvania, and they do not respond. BATTLE of BUGS - Neil shoots...

 - Over breakfast, Neil tells everyone that Ellilune dream contacted him again. Apparently, she only has the resources to keep Agrexost under her control for about two more weeks. They plan to spend one more day with Gerard doing research. This time on the iciest, coldest, bleakest plane to try to offer as a destination for him to go live. - After they finish their research, they will experiment with basic intra-planar teleportation by going to the coast of Lionhead Island and summoning a water elemental to see if it has any information on the exact whereabouts of Agrexost. Then they will Wind Walk back to Gerard's house. - They plan to teleport to the Holimion forest to ask the nature spirit who grants Sariel her powers if she has any advice on talking to titans.  - From there they will teleport near Ellilune's tower and Wind Walk the rest of the distance to her. - So Sariel casts Wind Walk on herself, Zaril, and Luca and they fly to the southern coast of Lionhead Island. An ...

- Neil takes Jinorah back from Zaril and settles her on his shoulders. - The group looks around to see if there is a door knocker, but it looks like this might not be a door meant for receiving visitors. - Acta casts Thaumaturgy to make a loud door knocking sound without sacrificing anyone's knuckles. It should be loud enough to be heard within the cave.  - Neil quiets himself and senses a dragon a few hundred feet ahead of him.  - The door opens and a very tall man with very broad shoulders, a longish red beard.  - They introduce themselves and explain why they have come, and he invites them in. - They chat for a while in his parlor (a nice room with comfy chairs and a fireplace)  - Acts shows Gerard her "souvenirs" and gives him an Infinity fruit and it tastes like a fine aged cheese  - Gerard agrees to let them read "Gods and Titans: A Treatise on the Probable Shaping of the Material Plane" and brings them to the library. - The library is the largest single r...

- The baby dragon is currently up a tree, freaking the hell out. - Zaril flies up the tree near the baby, but it start making screaming noises at her.  - Acta tosses Zaril the last of the scorpion tails so she can try to lure it down to Neil, but it just screams again - Neil makes calming noises in Draconic, but that makes zero difference. - The dragon jumps to a different tree. - Zaril follows and tries to grab it, but it slips through her hands - Acta notices some rustling in the bushes around them, so she looks around and sees what look like very short lizardfolk carrying spears surrounding them. She says hello to them in Draconic, and it starts so she gets Neil's attention. - The kobolds (they're kobolds) threaten the group for trying to "threaten" the baby dragon. - Sariel starts fading and turning into an Air Elemental, and the kobolds freak out. - Luckily she still has Tongues going (from last time), so she assures them that she's just trying to get it out ...

- How often do you use a hot tub in Texas, really? - The group walks for a few hours and as it's starting to get dark they see a small building on a hill  - The roof is partially collapsed and the door is ajar. - The inside is torn up and there are old stains on the walls that may or may not be blood. There is a pile of bones in the corner. Some of them might be human (or elven or whatever). - The debris seems to be collected into what looks like it might be a nest. There are blackish-purple scales scattered around, but they don't look like dragon scales. - Zaril backs up out of the house. She sees a flying creature with leathery bat-wings and four legs land on the roof. Everyone else in the house hears the thump. - She tries to throw a rock through the door, but she misses a little bit and it bounces off the door frame. - The creature cocks its head to look at her and she casts Invisibility - Acta casts Invisibility on herself and goes outside to see what's landed on the s...

 - They arrive on Lionshead Island, and Neil uses his Primeval Awareness to detect the nearest dragon to them (within 5 miles). He senses one within 3 miles of them in the general direction of the eternal storm. - Sariel casts Guiding Hand as a Ritual and they follow it towards the storm. - The terrain is fairly mountainous and hilly, and they have to walk around a good-sized bay between them and the caves, so the going is slow. - The day is lovely, but the perpetual storm ahead is a big storm and it's really blowing. - Sariel who is leading the way, see what looks like two balls of lightning in the storm headed towards them. - They are two birds that look like they are made of pure lightning.
