A Dance of Ice and Fire - March 19, 2021

 - Rosalinde Stuart Watson is about a week old. She a fairly normal looking human who's only a week old, squished looking.

- Neil and Sarah go on a walk to a jeweler's store and talk about the future, assuming Neil lives while Sariel babysits. (She sits on the floor to let Penny and Jinorah have a carefully supervised sniff.) 

- The result of the conversation is that Sarah wants to try a long engagement when he gets back from his world saving to make sure they get along, so Neil buys her a locket with her and his initials engraved on it and Rosalinde's in the middle.

- She yanks out a bit of his hair to put in the locket in case she needs to resurrect him.

- Jinorah gets a baby finger right up the nostril. She looks like she was contemplating a zap, but decides better of it.

- Neil and Sarah come back and that's when Sarah finds out that Penny and Jinorah will be staying with her. Neil explains to Penny first and asks her to protect Sarah and Rosalinde. Penny sadly lays next to the crib and Neil hugs her goodbye.

- Jinorah tries to use Penny as a stepstool to look in the crib.

- Neil explains to Jinorah in Draconic that Sarah, Rosalinde, and Penny are her family, so she shouldn't hurt them and she also shouldn't hurt the house.

- Sarah gives him a goodbye ass-slap.

- Sariel casts Water Breathing as a ritual on everyone.

- Neil casts Freedom of Movement on Luca.

- Luca casts Protection from Energy (cold) on herself 

- Zaril and Neil down Potions of Resistance (cold)

- Zaril gets out her sample of brain matter and casts Teleport.

- The party finds themselves in a white mist area so thick they can't see each other. They hear very loudly, "You dare try to enter me directly? The gall! You must prove yourselves first."

- The mist fades and the group finds themselves on either a very small island or a large, flat iceberg surrounded by water. The wind is howling and cold and the sky is gray and overcast. Three ice elemental creatures rise from the water and approach the group.

- ICE ICE ELEMENTAL

- Acta yells, "Do you want us to help you or kill you? Which is it?!" as she casts Magic Weapon on her short bow and Readies an attack on whichever creature attacks first.

- Red Ice casts Cone of Cold on the group and Sariel manages to duck under it, but it gets everyone else, 22 cold dmg for everyone (after Resistance) except Sariel who takes 11.

- Acta's attack misses and she finds that her feet a frozen to the ground.

- Zaril casts Dragon's Breath on herself as a bonus actions and then flies up into the air breathing fire onto RI for 34 fire damage (after vulnerability) then she flies out away from her friends and more cones of cold.

- Neil casts Fire Arrow then dashes out of the center of the circle of Ice Elementals then shoots Green Ice for 19 piercing and 4 fire dmg.

- Luca runs up to Blue Ice and smashes it with her hammer for 9 bludgeoning and 8 radiant dmg (7 with Divine Smite) then hits it again for 13 bludgeoning and 2 radiant dmg.

- BI misses smacking Luca then hits her with its spike arm for 5 piercing and 7 cold dmg

- Sariel casts Wall of Flame across RI and GI for 42 fire dmg to red and 21 to GI. The she moves to spread herself out from the team a bit.

- GI moves away from the Wall of Fire and casts Cone of Cold on Sariel, Luca, Acta, and Neil, who all take 15 cold dmg.

-Reaction:  Acta casts Hellish Rebuke (3rd lvl) on GI for 24 fire dmg.

- Acta shoots BI with her bow for 33 piercing dmg

- RI shoots a beam of ice at Sariel freezing her in a block of ice (She is stunned and taking ongoing cold.)

- Zaril flies next Sariel and breaths fire on both Carbonite-Sariel and RI for 12 fire dmg, which melts Sariel out of the block of ice. She casts Bardic Inspiration on Luca and then flies away from Sariel again.

-  Neil takes a step back and shoots GI with his long bow for 20 piercing and 12 fire dmg. He then steps behind the adjacent rock and Hides.

- Luca uses Channel Divinity on BI giving her Advantage on her attacks then she smacks it for 12 bludgeoning and 1 radiant dmg then hits it again for 6 bludgeoning and 1 radiant dmg.

- BI casts Cone of Cold very badly on everyone for 14 cold dmg on Luca, 7 on Acta and Zaril and 3 on Sariel.

- Sariel move next to Luca and casts Protect from Energy (cold) on her, then moves to flank BI with her and uses her bonus action to Wild Shape into a Fire Elemental.

- GI throws an ice grenade between Luca and Acta and they both take 17 piercing dmg.

- Acta takes 1 cold dmg as her feet are frozen to the ground then she uses Misty Step to unfreeze her feet. Then she shoots BI with her short bow for 30 piercing dmg. Then she runs farther away from the center of things to hide behind a rock.

- RI throws ice shards at Zaril missing then does it again hitting for 7 piercing and 4 cold dmg. It misses on its final throw.

- Zaril breaths fire on RI for 14 fire dmg. She then Inspires Luca again.

- Neil misses shooting GI this turn.

- Luca casts Hunter's Mark on BI then smacks it for 19 bludgeoning and 11 radiant dmg shattering it! So she runs over to RI and smacks it for 13 bludgeoning and 2 radiant dmg.

- Sariel follows Luca engulfing RI in her flames and melts it! So she Dashes over to GI and engulfs it for 2 fire dmg.

- GI runs away from the fire elemental and throws an ice grenade between Luca and Zaril for 23 piercing dmg.

- Acta shoots GI with her shortbow for 9 piercing dmg then she moves around the rock.

- Zaril breaths fire on GI for 30 fire dmg and melts it!

- There's a giant cracking sound and the ice they are standing on is getting pulled into the water underneath it. Them along with it.

- 7,000 XP ea for 219,260 XP total ea.
