Among the Mages

 - They arrive on Lionshead Island, and Neil uses his Primeval Awareness to detect the nearest dragon to them (within 5 miles). He senses one within 3 miles of them in the general direction of the eternal storm. - Sariel casts Guiding Hand as a Ritual and they follow it towards the storm. - The terrain is fairly mountainous and hilly, and they have to walk around a good-sized bay between them and the caves, so the going is slow. - The day is lovely, but the perpetual storm ahead is a big storm and it's really blowing. - Sariel who is leading the way, see what looks like two balls of lightning in the storm headed towards them. - They are two birds that look like they are made of pure lightning. LIGHTNING BIRD BATTLE - Zaril flies towards the Lightning Birds and casts Faerie Fire on LB(Blue), but it dodges the spell - Acta examines the creatures and can tell that they are elemental creatures composed entirely of lightning and are immune to lightning damage, and they are immune to thi

 - Neil can't tell with whom he has the agreement with until they get to their destination. Sariel is very frustrated by this. (Also Neil is not a plant-zombie. He has her check and that's the whole reason for this conversation in the first place.) - They sleep in the mansion and then use the fail-safes they set up beforehand to get Bubble to surface when it's time to recast.  - While Zaril is recasting, Sariel has another conversation with Bubbles to try to explain to it where Fort Kellihar is so that they can drop off the sailors. - And so two days pass and Sariel and a sailor help Bubbles navigate close to the fort. Then Sariel detaches the manta ray's harness and tows the piece of wood anchoring the spell to the beach. - She goes back inside and has a bath before they all leave to trek over to the fort. -  A few hours later they are allowed into the fort after some cajoling, and a brief summary of their tale is told to an officer and they are given accommodations fo

- Acta is flying around with her Fly spell, but she can't find Neil and Zaril on the ship. She sees an unconscious Luca being pulled into a tender boat and Penny jumps in after her. She follows that boat. - Zaril starts flying around using her wings and is trying to get people in the water to safety. - Zaril Sends (very panicky) "Everyone's abandoning ship. Where are you?! Can you cast a visible spell upwards so I can find you?" - "I'm underwater. I can breathe, but I can't see. Don't know which way is up. Once I have an idea I will turn into Air." - Zaril finds something heavy and she casts Light on it and drops into the water. While flying over the water she is hit by a wave and falls in. - Sariel does not see her attempt to help her find up. - Sariel casts Alter Self to give herself a swim speed. - She eventually finds the surface. - Sariel then turns into an Air Elemental and flies upward until she can find the breaking-down ship and her comp

 - Making camping plans! - The first couple of days are smooth sailing, but after a few days it becomes overcast and stays that way and navigation is becoming a problem. However, Sariel helps using the Guiding Hand (R) one or twice a day to keep them on course. - Once they are over deep water and they've had dinner with Captain Bronn in their Mansion, Sariel requests permission from the captain to summon a water elemental - She does so, and a mass of water from off the side of the boat forms into a blob of vaguely human-shaped water plops onto the deck. She then casts Tongues on herself (Thank you, ribbon!) - Sariel asks it for help finding Agrexost, and it asks her to sacrifice Zaril (who luckily doesn't understand the elemental's half of the conversation, though she is suspicious), which Sariel says not so much to that suggestion.  - Zaril Sends to the water elemental, "My friend really doesn't want to make a sacrifice of innocents.
