Drinking Game! - June 12, 2020
- Butterfinger Crisp Bar!
- They fly east and find an area of a high concentration of the Creep-tures after about half an hour.
- Zaril flies down low to the ground and finds what seems to be a well-traveled trail
- She follows it and the group follows her for about 40 minutes and they find a cave opening with a lot of footprints.
- Zaril and Neil take human form to discuss whether or not they will do any more exploring or not. Everybody agrees that they will come back and explore inside the cave tomorrow with the Wind Walk spell
- They turn back and get back Torin's, but his house is invisible. Sariel walks carefully up to the area where she remembers the house to be until she bumps into it with her hands. She feels along the wall until she finds the door. She knocks.
- There is no response and the door is locked.
- Zaril Sends to Torin, "Hey, Torin, we don't have cookies, but you said we'd be able to get back to the house. We're here. Are you okay?"
- She gets back, "Drat! Are you back already? I decided to nip down to Zizima for a quick pint or three. You can join me if you want."
- They all decide to head to Zizima to join him.
- They are invited inside at once as Ghost Step said to look out for us.
- Zaril explains about the cave after she gets gnome-sized drinks for everybody (except Torin "Ghost Step" Denholm who already has one)
- Torin moved out here fifteen years ago for the quiet and for the view.
- The Creep-tures started appearing a few months ago, he's not sure exactly sure when.
- He's afraid he might have caused the problem, but he's not sure.
- Some of his experiments have been about improving magical transportation options, and one of the spells that he attempted didn't seem to work, but then not long after the creep-tures appeared.
- After some more chatting and they all finish their drinks, Acta goes over to the bar to get something other than "spicy mint" ale
- Neil invites everyone at the tavern "To see if they can beat a bigg'un in a drinking contest?"
- One particularly stout gnome takes the challenge. He bets two of his hand axes while the gnome bets a dagger with an artfully carved handle.
- Zaril finishes her drink then starts strumming on her ukelele and wandering around the room.
- Sariel offers a 5 SP bet for Neil. Acta takes her up on it.
- Neil asks what rules the gnome, Kelvin, would propose. They estimate Neil is about twice as big (by mass) than the gnome, so Neil would need to drink two drinks for every one of Kelvin's.
- Neil cheekily agrees to drink two teacups of ale for every one of Kelvin's
- Zaril starts trying to get any gnomes how also have instruments on them to start a bit of a band while sneakily casts Bardic Inspiration on Neil throughout the competition.
- Mechanics of the drinking competition - The DC starts at 10. Roll a Con ST for every drink drunk. The DC increases by 2 after every drink. The first person to lose three of the STs loses.
- Kelvin fails first in the fourth round.
- Kelvin fails again in the fifth round.
- Neil and Kelvin both fail in the sixth round.
- Neil feels queasy and Kelvin pukes on the bar.
- Kelvin hands over the dagger, but Neil gives him one of the two hand axes as a souvenir.
- Sariel wins 5 SP from Acta.
- Zaril plays Kelvin a song and gets another drink and starts drunkenly dancing around the tavern.
- After the song, Zaril gets the bartender to give Kelvin some fried potato pancakes.
- Kelvin kiss Zaril sloppily on the cheek(?)
- A bit of a party ensues.
- Sariel gets six steaks like Luca ate plus some of those pancakes, but she feeds four of her steaks to Penny who hiding under the table from dancing feet.
- Zaril tried to pickpocket the dagger off Neil, but he catches her.
- They decide it's about time to head out, but Neil doesn't want to come, so Penny has to grab his clothes in her mouth and drag him out.
- Torin leads them away from the town and then Teleports the whole group back to his house.
- Everyone can see the house after another little finger snap.
- Torin puts Luca and Sariel in his first guest room with a double bed.
- He closes the door behind them, and then opens it again onto a room with bunk beds.
- Acta calls "Top bunk!" and dashes into the room and clambers up and bounces onto the mattress. Neil drunkenly follows her and flops onto the bottom mattress.
- He closes the door again and opens it onto a junky storeroom with a bed covered in junk in the corner. He knocks the stuff off the bed and sort of kicks it into another corner.
- She pokes around before perching on something and finds an indecipherable treasure(?) map written in gold ink. It was the ink that caught her eye.
- 3,000 XP ea. for 110,400 XP total ea.
