Among the Mages

- Sariel get about an hour of sleep, but not much else - They head over to the Guard HQ and have a meeting with Sgt Watson to try to figure out what to do about the imminent invasion - Sariel tells her about the circle she found in the woods - There's a lot of speculation - Zaril asks Barkridge through Sending, "We are working on your task. Who do you need to get into the city? Do you have a force of Giants? Or is it just yourself?" - He responds, "Your task is to eliminate the city leadership and sabotage the city defenses. I need nothing more to get into the city. Do not worry." - So much useless planning. - We are going to go out in the direction of the circle Sariel found and act as a guerilla force against whatever invaders might come from there. - We're going to get a goon squad of four guards to come with us to aid (poofy pants are back, y'all!) - None of them are undead. - A portal is opened and it takes us at the edge of a clearing wit...

- As the group is walking back towards the inn, everyone except Acta and Neil feels the itchy, prickling sensation of a scrying spell - Acta casts Detect Magic after Sariel and Zaril insist they are being scried on, but she doesn't see anything - Sariel looks through the Gem of True Seeing and she sees TWO invisible orbs - one trailing behind Acta and one behind Neil - She casts Dispel Magic one each of them and they disappear - Zaril flies back to the barracks to make sure that the spell didn't come from the Sgt - it didn't - As she's flying back, Zaril then hears Barkridge in her head, "You must distract the city's leader. Make sure he is out of communication or better yet out of commission by noon tomorrow." - She turns BACK AROUND to get back to the Sgt to tell her what she just heard. She does not respond to the Sending. - Sgt Watson asks them to investigate, so Zaril finally gets back to the inn, and tells the group what all happened. - Sarie...

YET ANOTHER ZOMBIE BATTLE THIS TIME IN A MARKETPLACE - Penny Pounces on the Zombified Guard Leader who spoke to Neil, but misses - Sariel casts Guardian of Nature on herself as her bonus action, then casts Poison Spray on the ZGL - ZG5 casts Fireball on everyone but Penny, but everyone except Luca dodges (mostly) 41 Fire dmg for Luca, 20 Fire dmg for Neil and Sariel, none for Acta because Rogue - ZG1 moves to Neil and misses twice - Luca moves to ZG5 and misses him then smashes him with her magicky mace for 22 bludgeoning dmg and the magic of her mace murders him. MMMMMuuuuuuurrrrrrddddeeeeeeerrrrrrreeeeddddd - Zaril flies in from her meeting with Alejandro and casts Chaos Bolt (Lvl 2) on ZG4 for14 thunder dmg - ZG2 moves to see Sariel and then misses her twice with his javelins - Acta casts Magic Weapon on her shortbow, then shoots ZG4 for 7 piercing dmg then she moves to hide behind the fishmonger's stand - Neil moves back to back with Sariel, but ZG manages to Opportun...
